CelleBrite Physically Analyser - XACT - Flasher Boxes (Are We Closer to a True CellPhone Forensic Solution)
The question has always to be asked, "Is there a true solution to cellphone forensics and do "off the shelf point and click products" give that solution"?
There is much confusion as to what cellphone forensics actually with much influence being given by manufacturers and not independent academics? John (Zeke) Thackray is independent from those manufactures and uses all products globally on investigations and delivery of cellphone forensic training. It is very clear that many investigators around the world are confused in thinking tools that simply recover partial data from cellphones quickly are true forensic solutions.
These tools are marketed as forensic solutions for cellphone technology, but are they? During this session delegates will become more familiar with the differences between cellphone first responding (the quick recovery of data) and cellphone forensics (physical extraction of data and analysis). The session will focus on CelleBrite Physical Analyser, XACT and flasher Boxes and how they impact and move towards to become closer to a true forensic solution for cellphone investigations.
